Albuquerque Advances to Round 2

After their 8-2 win today at Roadrunners Ballpark over the Qubec City Poutine, the Albuquerque Roadrunners will advance to the Round 2. Albuquerque won the series by a 4-3 margin.
Leading the way for the Roadrunners was shortstop Miguel Villareal, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.
"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."
The Albuquerque Roadrunners will play against the Baxter Dingos in the next round. Baxter won their series against the Sarasota Supernovas 4 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.

Round 1 Goes the Distance, Moscow Prevails

It took a while, but the Moscow Mules finally disposed of the Houston Orange Kings 9-0 in the series clincher at Las vegas Ballpark.
Winning the finale gave the Mules the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the Round 2.
The Most Valuable Player Award went to Moscow center fielder Eric Griffin. He batted .303 in the series, collecting 7 RBIs and scoring 7 runs.
The Moscow Mules will play against the Flagstaff Skyhawks in the next round. Flagstaff won their series against the Schenectady Grasshoppers 4 games to 3. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
