Seattle-Vung Tau Brawl, Jordan and Spurlock Suspended

If there wasn't a history between Jonathan Jordan of Seattle and Danny Spurlock of Vung Tau, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Jordan said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
At the moment, Jordan is batting .229 with 3 home runs and 12 RBIs. He has played in 47 games and scored 11 times.
In 15 starts this season, Spurlock has gathered 2 wins while suffering 8 losses. He has pitched 93.2 innings, allowed 97 hits, struck out 83 and has a 3.75 ERA.

Robby Torres of the Vung Tau Vipers was impressive in blanking the Seattle Airhogs, 7-0, at Vung Tau Diamond. He crafted a 3-hit shutout and chalked up 7 strikeouts with 2 walks in the contest.
So far this season, Torres has logged a 9-0 record with a 2.03 ERA. He has started 14 games, hurled 88.2 innings and registered 55 strikeouts and 21 walks.

Ventura Shuts Out Queens, 7-0

Omar Ventura of the Baltimore Jaspers toyed with the Chesterfield Queens, as he shut them out, 7-0, at Queens Ballpark. He was almost untouchable, twirling a 1-hitter with 7 strikeouts and 3 walks.
"I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Ventura said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there."
This season, Ventura has a 13-5 record with a 2.75 ERA in 19 starts.
