Vung Tau's Taylor to Miss 9-10 Months

Playoff hopes of Vipers player Nick Taylor have been dealt a blow today after tests revealed the starting pitcher suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament throwing a pitch in today's game against San Jose Sabercats. Taylor is expected to miss up to 9-10 months, effectively ruling him out of the playoffs.
In 24 starts this season, Taylor has compiled a 9-6 record and a 3.89 ERA.

Hillsboro Celebrates Playoff Clinch

The Hillsboro Hops clubhouse was filled with loud music and revelry late into the night, as the team celebrated a CBD Double A wild card position.
The team, whose record stands at 71-69, battled throughout the year, but ultimately saw the quest for the playoffs come down to the season's final games.
"I'd be lying if I said we knew we were going to make it," said catcher Tony Alejandro. "We did have confidence, but in the back of your mind you always wonder what's going to happen. There were some good teams pushing us."
Now the Hops don't have to worry, as they are in position to potentially win the 4th CBD Double A championship in franchise history.
