Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Knights
The Brooklyn Knights faced a tough opponent in Portland pitcher Victor Velasco, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Beavers Park by a final score of 5-2. Velasco went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. The win puts Brooklyn at 7-5.

Brooklyn used the timely hitting of Pedro Almanza to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Knights on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Almanza.
