|
The Yellowstone Super Volcano topped the Detroit Pizzas, 8-4, at Volcano Ballpark. Yellowstone right fielder Josh George was a spark plug for the offense. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Rafael Torres got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. The loss puts Detroit at 13-13.
Early in the game, George had a grand slam home run for Yellowstone. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Super Volcano on top, 5-1.
"It never gets old," said George. "Winning, that is."
