Red-Hot Bat: Marin Collects Cycle Sunday, May 28th , 2051 The Reno Rattlers were too much for the Portland Mavericks, winning, 4-3, despite the batting heroics of Portland center fielder Ruben Marin. In a losing effort, Marin had a monster game, hitting for the cycle. He collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats with 2 RBI. After the game, Marin said he was "unfazed" by the outcome. "Look, it's baseball," he said. "Best case scenario, you're still going to lose 40 percent of the time. You can't let it get to you." Ruben Marin doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jeff Guerrero in the 9th. View Boxscore |
