Brunet Earns SL2 Player of the Week

Not every ball that came off James Brunet's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Tacoma Oilmen. For his exploits, Brunet was named this week's Sub League 2 Player of the Week award.
The Tacoma second baseman put up 13 hits in 28 at-bats and 7 home runs while hitting .464 with 9 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
This season, Brunet is batting .336 with 32 RBIs, 31 runs scored and 14 home runs.

SL1 Awards Best Batter Prize to Fischer

It was an extraordinary week for Ed Fischer of the Kansas City Hepcats. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .556, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the Sub League 1. Last week Fischer went 15-for-27, racked up 5 home runs and 7 RBIs and scored 10 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Kansas City left fielder.
This season, Fischer has banged out 43 hits in 140 at-bats for a .307 average with 8 home runs. He is getting on base at a .386 pace and his totals also include 17 RBIs and 24 runs scored.
