Manager Johnson Discharged by Georgetown

In an expected move, the Georgetown Spinners fired manager Jake Johnson today.
The team had not been performing up to expectations, and it was thought to be just a matter of time before the move was made.
"We've decided to go in a different direction," Georgetown general manager explained to the assembled press. "We'd like to thank Jake for his service and wish him well in the future."
The organization has been mum on possible candidates for the position, but expect to name a replacement soon.
