Steven Allen and the Lansing Red Storm opened the Divisional Series in brilliant fashion today, traveling to Dublin and shutting out the host Porters at Porters Ballpark 1-0 to secure an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Allen, the Red Storm right-hander, threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball.

Allen, the Lansing right-hander, went 8 innings, allowing no runs on 5 hits. He collected 5 strikeouts.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Allen said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Porters Ballpark in Dublin.
