Washington 5-for-5 Against Ducks Monday, July 26th , 2049 The Oklahoma City Hooks stopped the Long Island Ducks by a score of 9-2 at Hooks Ballpark, with the lion's share of the credit going to first baseman Jalen Washington. The 20-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Washington said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Washington did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Ducks. "Not much that I can say," offered Long Island manager Sergio Aguirre. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Jalen Washington singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
