Buffalo Wins Round 2

In a series that had a little bit of everything, the Buffalo Red Sox have edged the Long Beach Paradise.
The two rival clubs went the distance in the tightly-contested Round 2, with a 5-4 win in the clincher being the difference for Buffalo and giving them the ticket to the Round 3 with a 4-3 series triumph.
"We never stopped believing in ourselves. When push came to shove we were going to get it done," said Casey Williams, who was named series MVP.
For the series, Williams hit .407 with a .429 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 1 runs.
The Buffalo Red Sox will play against the Can Tho Cobras in the next round. Can Tho won their series against the Cork Claws 4 games to 2. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.

Can Tho Advances to Round 3

After their 9-6 win today at Claws Ballpark over the Cork Claws, the Can Tho Cobras will advance to the Round 3. Can Tho won the series by a 4-2 margin.
Leading the way for the Cobras was right fielder Juan Montes, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.
"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."
The Can Tho Cobras don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Long Beach Paradise - Buffalo Red Sox series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
