Long Beach Moves on to Round 2

Fans at Nogales Grounds saw the Round 1 come to a close today, as the Long Beach Paradise defeated the Nogales Nómadas del Sol by a score of 15-7, and advanced to the Round 2.
Long Beach won the series 4-1 and will now continue their march toward the Round 3.
"It feels good to be moving on, I can't deny it," said shortstop Nick Reinert, who was named series MVP. "Not everyone thought we'd make it this far."
The Long Beach Paradise don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Long Island Ducks - Pueto Rico Ranas series. Pueto Rico leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.

Claws Dominate, Sweep Round 1

The Cork Claws made it look easy and are heading to the Round 2.
They have ousted the Colorado Springs Generals in a sweep, the final win coming by a 5-3 score, clinching the 4-0 series win.
"Everything's clicking for us right now," said Chris Riggins, who was named MVP for the series.
Riggins hit .625 with a .750 on-base percentage. He added 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Cork Claws will play against the Sapporo Sea Eagles in the next round. Sapporo won their series against the Oklahoma City Hooks 4 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
