Euharlee Eliminated from Playoff Contention

Despite their best efforts, the Euharlee Hammerheads were officially eliminated from playoff contention today.
Euharlee last appeared in the postseason in 2047. This is their 4th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 14 times in their 27-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Hammerheads have missed the playoffs 6 times. Euharlee has won the Round 3 2 times in their history.

Lipscomb Sizzles with 25-Game Batting Streak

Sea Eagles catcher Jon Lipscomb has extended his hitting streak to 25 games. He went 2-for-4 in today's game against the Grosse Pointe Better Mades. Sapporo won the ballgame, 8-3.
"Got a hit and a win," he said later. "OK, I'll take it."
Jon Lipscomb singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, walked in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Daniel Michel in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
Lipscomb is hitting .504 this season with 8 home runs, 39 RBIs and 56 runs scored. He has 62 hits in 123 at-bats.

Herbert Belts 5 Hits

It was a magical day at the plate for Pueto Rico Ranas second baseman Matt Herbert. The 22-year-old Herbert helped lift Pueto Rico to a win, 9-8, over the Euharlee Hammerheads at Euharlee Fields. Herbert smacked 5 hits in 6 at-bats to spark his club.
Matt Herbert singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a three-run triple in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Herbert is hitting .421 this year with 7 home runs and 28 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .508, 27 walks and scored 33 times.
