Pueto Rico Halts Suarez's Hitting Steak

Marco Suarez of the Oklahoma City Hooks came up empty at the plate and went hitless in 4 at-bats for the first time in 21 games. Making matters even worse for the shortstop, Oklahoma City dropped the game to the Pueto Rico Ranas, 5-4.
"It was not a good day today," Suarez told the press in postgame comments. "We lost the game and the streak is over."
Suarez is hitting .335 so far this season with 45 RBIs and 63 runs scored. He has 89 hits including 6 home runs, 57 walks and .447 OBP.

Colorado Springs's Wilson Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits

No matter what the Euharlee Hammerheads threw him, Joe Wilson hit it. The 21-year-old Colorado Springs Generals center fielder racked up 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Ballpark of Colorado Springs and led the Generals to a win, 9-8.
Joe Wilson hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Gaspar Ramirez in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.
So far this year, Wilson is batting .519 with 1 home run and 7 RBIs.

5-for-6 Day for Langford

Rich Langford had a huge game in a Rhome Rhavioli win at Nogales Grounds. Langford rapped 5 hits in 6 tries and helped the Rhavioli overcome the Nogales NĂ³madas del Sol, 10-3.
Rich Langford singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Manuel Valle in the 5th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
Langford is currently hitting .325 with 5 home runsand 51 RBIs, while scoring 58 runs.
