Dabylov Will Sit Out 2 Games, Suspended by League
Wednesday, July 7th , 2049
The league commissioner's office has notified the Kalamazoo Kings that center fielder Grigori Dabylov has been given a 2-game suspension for his involvement in an incident with the home plate umpire in yesterday's Kalamazoo-Galveston game at Lansing Ballpark. After being called out on a pitch that he deemed a ball, Dabylov aggressively expressed his displeasure and was promptly ejected from the game.
In the league suspension notice, it stated that he was suspended for making an obscene gesture toward the umpires prior to entering the dugout. The league said that type of behavior would not be tolerated.
Dabylov and the Kings were unavailable for comment.
For the year, Dabylov has hit .236 with 2 home runs, 15 RBIs and scored 16 runs.
