Trejo Smacks 5 Hits for Hammerheads Wednesday, April 24th , 2052 The Euharlee Hammerheads stopped the California Kooks by a score of 16-10 at Kooks Ballpark, with the lion's share of the credit going to center fielder Carlos Trejo. The 20-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Trejo said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Trejo did just that in his 7 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Kooks. "Not much that I can say," offered California manager Blake Johnstone. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Carlos Trejo singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
