Massey Put in Cooler, Hitless Against California Monday, May 26th , 2053 The streak has been snapped. Travis Massey failed to get a hit in today's game against the California Kooks, bringing his 22-game hitting spree to an end. The 20-year-old Colorado Springs center fielder was 0-for-4, but the Generals got the win and defeated the Kooks, 11-4. "I'm not disappointed at all -- I had a great run," Massey said. "I got to 22 games. I got my name into an elite group with a bunch of good ballplayers. What's there to complain about?" This season, Massey is batting .328 with 1 home run. His totals include 14 RBIs and 19 runs scored. |
