Burke Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Friday, May 21st , 2049 Rob Burke, center fielder for the Kalamazoo Kings, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 10-1 victory over the Long Beach Paradise at Paradise Ballpark. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Rob Burke singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 6th, struck out in the 6th, walked in a run in the 8th and walked in the 9th. This season, Burke is batting .395 with no home runs. |
