Vermont Advances to Round 2 Thursday, September 12th , 2041 After eliminating the Baltimore Sharks 7-3 in the Round 1 at Expos Grounds, the victorious Vermont Expos will now move on to the next round: the Round 2. Vermont beat Baltimore 4-2 in the series. The MVP trophy was awarded to Expos shortstop Drew Davis, who knocked in 3 runs, hit .333 and scored 6 times. "The guys were all chanting 'M-V-P' when I went into the clubhouse," Davis said later, with a smile. "It was kind of embarrassing but it feels great to be here." The Vermont Expos will play against the Can Tho Cobras in the next round. Can Tho won their series against the Corpus Christi Beach Boys 4 games to 1.
