Traverse City could only muster 4 hits and draw 2 walks against the right-handed Maldonado, who controlled them throughout the game. Salem-Keizer won the contest, 8-0. Maldonado added 3 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Maldonado told reporters after the shutout win.
