Skeeters Prevail, as Round 1 Goes to the Wire Sunday, September 17th , 2051 The Glendale Skeeters and Tucson Ocelot hooked up in a classic Round 1 that went right down to the wire. In the end, it's Glendale heading off to the Round 2, after a 3-2 win at Ocelot Ballpark tonight earned the 4-3 series win. Outside Ocelot Ballpark, whether they were supporters of Glendale or Tucson, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget. Billy Rodriguez played the hero for the Skeeters in the series, as his MVP performance included a .435 batting average, with a .567 on-base percentage. He also had 1 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Glendale Skeeters will play against the Fresno Orange Sox in the next round. Fresno won their series against the Key West Lime Pies 4 games to 1.
