Saturday, May 20th , 2051
The San Jose Sabercats were almost helpless in their 6-0 loss to the Tucson Ocelot and hurler Angel Morales. Morales kept the Sabercats confused all game, spinning a 4-hit shutout.
"Tip your hat to Morales," San Jose manager Mike De Bono said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."
The 21-year-old right-hander had 2 walks and 1 strikeout in a strong performance.
"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Morales said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."
On the season, Morales has a 5-2 record with a 2.56 ERA.
