Williams Razor-Sharp, Shuts Out Tucson

In a remarkable performance, Hartford Defenders starter Brian Williams beat the Tucson Ocelot, 8-0, in an impressive 4-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Defenders hurler finished with 3 strikeouts and 2 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Tucson manager Cole Ball said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
Williams is currently batting .231 with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored. He has 6 hits in 26 at-bats.
