Parr Skunks Tucson, 2-0 Thursday, April 8th , 2049 The Tucson Ocelot manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Santa Clara Vanguard. The Ocelot were overpowered by Santa Clara starter John Parr, who hurled his club to victory, 2-0. "It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Cole Ball said. Over 9 innings, Parr blanked Tucson on 7 hits with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. "I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Parr said. "I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one." View Boxscore |
