Thomas Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Friday, July 23rd , 2049 Matt Thomas did all he could with his bat, but it just wasn't enough for the Nephi Threshers to pull out a victory. The 22-year-old center fielder rapped out 5 hits in the game, but the Threshers could not overcome the Portland Pickles. Nephi lost the game, 13-9, at Walker Stadium. Matt Thomas singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Corey Coady in the 6th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. So far this year, Thomas is batting .331 with 11 home runs and 35 RBIs. View Boxscore |
