Nephi Moves on to Round 2

John Jones said his Nephi Threshers simply weren't ready for the season to come to an end.
"We told ourselves we were winning this series no matter what," he said, shortly after being named the Round 1 MVP, following a 8-0 win at Phoenix Ballpark that officially eliminated the Phoenix Palisades, 4-1.
Jones said his team is "confident and ready" for the Round 2.
The Nephi Threshers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Eugene Exploding Whales - Portland Pickles series. Eugene leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.

Moller 5-for-6 Against Nephi

It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Chris Moller. Moller went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Nephi pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Threshers Ballpark, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Phoenix Palisades had a win, 16-14, over the Threshers.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.
Chris Moller singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jerry Acheson in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Brian Beebe in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
Currently Moller is batting .319 with 15 home runs and 64 RBIs.
