Matt Thomas did all he could with his bat, but it just wasn't enough for the Nephi Threshers to pull out a victory.

The 22-year-old center fielder rapped out 5 hits in the game, but the Threshers could not overcome the Portland Pickles. Nephi lost the game, 13-9, at Walker Stadium.

Matt Thomas singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Corey Coady in the 6th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
