Saturday, September 21st , 2047
The Philadelphia Avalanche bandwagon is filling up fast, as the team has moved one step closer to winning a Round 3 championship.
Philadelphia downed the Rochester River Sharks 1-0 tonight at Ballpark of Rochester, to take the Round 1 4-1.
"It seems much more real now and we're really starting to realize we've got a great shot at this thing," said Rich Reis, who was named series MVP. "When we play our best we're as good as anybody in the CBD Triple A."
For the series, Reis had 9 hits for .391, with a .391 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The Philadelphia Avalanche don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Ottawa Lynx - Portland Pickles series. Portland leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
