Gullett and Austin Fight, Suspended 4 Games Thursday, August 8th , 2052 One player challenged the other with some angry words at the Irish-River Sharks game at Irish Stadium yesterday. There was some pushing and shoving -- then the dugouts emptied. There was a lot of scuffling, but no punches thrown. When order was finally restored and the dust settled, the umpires ejected LetterKenny's Justin Gullett and Rochester's Chris Austin. Now both antagonists will get some time off, courtesy of the league commissioner. They were suspended 4 games for inappropriate and aggressive behavior. In this current campaign Gullett is hitting at a .245 clip with 18 home runs and 59 RBIs. To date in the season, Austin is 1-0 with 16 relief appearances and no saves. He has held opposing batters to a .208 average, pitched 19.1 innings, struck out 16 and walked 8 while recording a 2.33 ERA. |
