Lambert Goes on Rampage Against Beavers Tuesday, August 30th , 2050 Even as a kid, Zachery Lambert said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Sportsman's Park, Lambert showed how well he learned that lesson. The 30-year-old right fielder had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the Los Angeles Kings, helping his team knock off the Portland Beavers by a score of 18-0. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did." Zachery Lambert singled in the 1st, hit a sac fly in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jerry Matthews in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
