Lezama Silences Memphis, 8-0 Wednesday, September 2nd , 2048 Luis Lezama was in a zone of his own most of the day, shutting out the Memphis Chicks on 5 hits. "He was too darn good for us today," grumbled Memphis manager John Griffin after the 8-0 loss to the Havana Sugar Kings. Lezama finished with 12 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing. In the postgame press conference, Havana manager The Baron said Lezama "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off."
