Tejeda Crafts 10-0 Shutout Versus Kyiv Thursday, August 10th , 2051 The Kyiv Cossacks were almost helpless in their 10-0 loss to the Osaka Takoyaki and hurler Vicente Tejeda. Tejeda kept the Cossacks confused all game, spinning a 4-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Tejeda," Kyiv manager Boris Lahutin said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 28-year-old right-hander had 2 walks and 9 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Tejeda said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way." To date, Tejeda has a 1-1 mark in 5 starts with a 5.20 ERA. He has given up 28 hits in 27.2 innings, struck out 24 and issued 13 walks.
