Cossacks Rally Late to Nip Red Storm
The Kyiv Cossacks had to overcome a good performance from Lansing pitcher Vicente Tejeda to claim a 3-2 win at Ballpark of Atlanta. Tejeda went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Adrian Ducote earned the save for Kyiv, his 3rd of the year. Kyiv has won 5 straight games.

Kyiv used a clutch hit from Sam Lucot to get the win. The center fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cossacks ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"That's baseball," said Lansing manager GM TDen. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
