Roland Gives Arizona Goose Eggs Friday, May 28th , 2049 The Arizona Desert Storm had no answer for Memphis Chicks pitcher Billy Roland. They failed to score a single run against him, losing, 7-0. Arizona managed only 8 hits off Roland, who had 6 strikeouts. The extraordinarily popular Roland got a standing ovation from the hometown crowd as he left the field, the applause continuing until he returned from the dugout to tip his cap to the crowd. "Chicks fans are the best fans, in my opinion," he said. "It's a great feeling to throw a shutout under any circumstances, but to do it with the crowd behind you like that is just incredible."
