Knights Thwart Hyenas, 6-5
|
In a tight contest at Brooklyn Coliseum, the Brooklyn Knights edged the East Haddam Hyenas by the score of 6-5. Brooklyn designated hitter Kenichi Kanzaki, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Luis Contreras was credited with the save for Brooklyn, his 1st of the season. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Brooklyn.
Had John Baccari not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Baccari hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Knights.
"You look inside of the game, it's just quality approach after quality approach," said Knights manager Enoch Tang.
