Alvarez Spins 5-0 Shutout Against Buffalo Saturday, May 13th , 2051 The Buffalo Buffalo were almost helpless in their 5-0 loss to the Havana Sugar Kings and hurler Zack Alvarez. Alvarez kept the Buffalo confused all game, spinning a 3-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Alvarez," Buffalo manager Jim Punk42ae said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 25-year-old left-hander had 1 walk and 7 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Alvarez said.
