Hit Parade: Sims Pops 5 Hits
Tuesday, May 9th , 2051
It was a sensational day at the plate for Dan Sims as he led the charge to a nifty 13-0 win over the Desert Storm. The St. Louis left fielder was pure misery for the Arizona pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Sims put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said GM PerryPHX, manager for the Desert Storm, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Dan Sims singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Matt Schwager in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
This year, Sims has collected a .308 batting average to date with 28 hits in 91 at-bats, 16 RBIs, 6 home runs and scored 17 times. He has played in 24 games.
