Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Brooklyn Coliseum.

The Brooklyn Knights topped the Pittsburgh Yinzers by a score of 8-7 in 10 innings. Leading the way was designated hitter Silvio Veldhoven. Veldhoven belted 2 home runs, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 3 for the Knights. The winner was Tanner Denny in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Andy Buhrke took the loss.

The Knights got a clutch hit from catcher John Espinosa. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Knights.

"It's what good teams do, find a way to win," said Espinosa.

The win gives Brooklyn a record of 15-15.
