DeShields Shackles Los Angeles Tuesday, April 27th , 2049 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Los Angeles Kings as starter Zachery DeShields shut them out, 5-0, at Sportsman's Park. The Kyiv pitcher struck out 11 and walked 2 while allowing 5 hits. "DeShields was good but he wasn't flawless," Los Angeles manager Jim KP said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Kyiv, but this is on us." This year, DeShields has fashioned a 2-2 mark, 5.18 ERA and pitched 33 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .270 against him and he has logged 32 strikeouts.
