Hendsbee Leads Dublin to 7-0 Win Over Lansing
Friday, May 29th , 2048
The Lansing Red Storm manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Dublin Porters. The Red Storm were overpowered by Dublin starter Jason Hendsbee, who hurled his club to victory, 7-0.
"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," GM TDen said.
Over 9 innings, Hendsbee blanked Lansing on 4 hits with 1 walk and 10 strikeouts.
"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Hendsbee said.
"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
Hendsbee has started 10 times this year, pitched 70 innings, fanned 63 batters and walked 26. His current record is 3 wins and 2 losses with a 3.34 ERA.
