Super Volcano Pull Out Late-Game Win, 4-3
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Yellowstone Super Volcano got the win.

The Yellowstone Super Volcano had to overcome a fine effort from Hanoi pitcher Jon Gilson to win, 4-3, at Volcano Ballpark. Gilson went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Yellowstone's record now stands at 25-25, placing them third in the Alliance League Dimwits Division.

Doug Godwin went 1-3 for Yellowstone. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, Godwin, who is tied for 10th in the AL in stolen bases with 5, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Hanoi hurler Dave Arteaga, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Super Volcano a 4-3 lead.

"We take it day by day here," said Godwin, "and today was a good one for us."
