Jeffries on Fire, 5-for-6 Against Memphis Monday, April 27th , 2048 5 times is the charm -- at least for Jacob Jeffries. The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs center fielder tore up the Memphis Chicks to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Russwood Park. The offensive onslaught from Jeffries powered the 11-0 Blueberry Bulldogs win. "Jeffries was a tough out," Memphis manager John Griffin said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Jacob Jeffries hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jonathan Fyke in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Kevin Kleman in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
