East Haddam Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
Ballpark of East Haddam was host to some action-packed drama.
The Kyiv Cossacks went down to defeat to Sergio Nunez and his East Haddam teammates. The final score was 2-0, Hyenas, in 16 innings. Kevin Presnell, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings.
The decisive blow was delivered by Jared Gonsoulin in the bottom of the 16th when he hit a 2-run home run off 34-year old left-handed pitcher Cody Harbaugh to win the game for East Haddam. The home crowd went nuts.
East Haddam manager Joe Jankowski said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
