Super Volcano 5-4 Winners Over Brooklyn
The Yellowstone Super Volcano knocked off the Brooklyn Knights, 5-4, in Alliance League action at Brooklyn Coliseum. Yellowstone pitcher and West Milford, New Jersey, native Justin Kowalick had an outstanding performance. Kowalick got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 4 hits and walked 3 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Carlos Castaneda notched his 4th save of the season.

Doug Godwin had a big 2-run home run for the Super Volcano in the top of the third inning. With Yellowstone leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Brian Hendricks and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Super Volcano on top, 3-0.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Kowalick told the Yellowstone Citizen.

The victory makes Yellowstone 8-2, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 2052.
