Corpus Christi first baseman Chase Bontz had a day to remember, 6-for-7 against the Kalamazoo Kings at Lansing Ballpark as the Beach Boys picked up a win, 20-0.

"He was patient up there," Corpus Christi skipper Kirk Brixey told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Bontz has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."

Chase Bontz singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Carlos Reyes in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

So far this year, Bontz has 4 home runs and a .423 batting average.
