The Portland Beavers rode a solid performance from 26-year-old starting pitcher Jason Scothorn to a win, beating the Hanoi Dragon Warriors, 4-2, at The Nest. The Beavers now have a record of 39-42 with the win over Hanoi.

Portland used the stroke of Oscar Hernandez to get the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Beavers ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"Jason was dictating to their hitters," said Portland manager GM admiralballtr8s.
