Cossacks Lose By a Run at Sudbury
|
Zachery Lambert added some punch to the Sudbury offense, helping them outmuscle the Kyiv Cossacks, 9-8. In the game, Lambert, who finished 3rd in the AL in hits with 203 in 2043, went 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3. The first-place Cossacks have lost 4 consecutive games.
In the bottom of the fourth, Sudbury first baseman Hugo Cabrera had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Cabrera stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 6-4, Sudbury. For the game, he was 3-5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
