Desert Storm Score Late to Beat Hyenas, 7-6
|
Arizona right fielder Marcos Nevarez had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the East Haddam Hyenas, 7-6. After today's action, Arizona sits at 35-45; East Haddam slips to 36-44.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Nevarez hit a cutter from John Motz for a run-scoring single. The Desert Storm, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Nevarez told the Arizona Herald.
