Sam Gleghorn was a major contributor to the 3-1 Buffalo win over Portland. The Buffalo designated hitter threw 8.1 innings allowing 1 run. Noah Powell claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. His record stands at 6-3. During his postgame press conference, Buffalo manager Jim Punk42ae told reporters that he expected a tight game from the get-go. "This had the potential to go down to the wire, and it certainly didn't disappoint," he said, later quipping, "it might've been a little less nerve-racking if I had been watching the game from my couch!"
