Knights Prevail, 5-4, Over Hanoi
|
No one was more impactful than Jason Edkin in the 5-4 Brooklyn win over Hanoi. Edkin, the 25th overall pick in the 2035 draft, belted 2 home runs. Kevin Lowe was the winning pitcher. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 8 strikeouts. The save went to Adrian Ducote, number 2 for him.
The Knights got a big at-bat from right fielder Setsujiro Takahashi. For the game, Takahashi went 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Brooklyn a 4-3 lead.
Takahashi called the triumph "a good team win."
The loss has the Dragon Warriors at 0-2.
