Archies Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Osaka second baseman Juan Redondo was sensational. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. St. Louis beat the Takoyaki, 7-6, in 10 innings. Reliever Alex Garcia picked up the win. His record improves to 5-2. Daniel Forsyth, who finished 3rd in the FL in saves with 36 last year, took the loss. The Archies sport a record of 46-25.
The Archies got a clutch hit from left fielder Dan Sims. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Archies.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said St. Louis manager Terry Schneekloth.
