Hamilton Delivers Walk-Off Win for Porters
|
Porters Ballpark was host to some intense drama.
The Dublin Porters overcame a good performance by East Haddam second baseman Mike Sizemore to knock off East Haddam, 7-6, at Porters Ballpark. Sizemore went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Dublin reliever Tyrese Bunch, who is tied for 3rd in the FL in saves with 16, was credited with the win. His record goes to 2-2. Justin Kennedy took the loss for East Haddam.
The decisive moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Dublin. That's when Pat Hamilton hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Justin Kennedy to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Hamilton said.
The second-place Porters sport a record of 35-34.
