Sugar Kings Pin 3-1 Loss on Brooklyn

The Brooklyn Knights could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Steve Kinas into a win. Instead, the Havana Sugar Kings prevailed, 3-1. Kinas threw 6.1 innings allowing 3 runs. Bill Mitchell picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-1. Steve Kinas, who is rated as the 28th best prospect by BNN, was tagged with the loss. Eric McKinney earned the save, his 21st, for the Sugar Kings.
Chris Burgos had a direct impact on the outcome. Burgos contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put Havana up, 2-0.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Burgos.
The win makes Havana 39-29.
