The home crowd had a good time watching the Portland Beavers and Hanoi Dragon Warriors get after it.

The Hanoi Dragon Warriors got a stellar effort from pitcher Aaron Wierzba, helping Hanoi score a win over the visiting Portland Beavers, 7-2. Chris Gills closed the game out for Hanoi, earning his 2nd save.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Chris Gills didn't flinch. With the bases loaded and Portland trailing 3-2, Gills retired Mike Webster to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Gills, with a wink.

Hanoi, at 36-32, occupies first place in the Alliance League Boneheads Division.
