The umbrellas came out during the Brooklyn-Waikiki contest at Ballpark of Honolulu.

Alex Smith, the 13th overall pick in the 2045 draft, imposed his will on the Wayfinders from the get-go. Relying mainly on his sinker, the right-hander spearheaded the 4-0 Brooklyn triumph. The save went to Tanner Denny, his 16th this season.

Smith confounded Waikiki hitters. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed no runs on 2 hits.

Brooklyn manager Enoch Tang called it "a pretty good win."

Brooklyn, at 40-23, is 2 games up in the Alliance League Boneheads Division.
