Beavers Earn Win with Late Rally
|
The Portland Beavers beat the Dublin Porters, 2-1, in 10 innings. Portland pitcher and Caibarién, Cuba, native Victor Velasco led the way. Portland pitcher Tony Orellana got the win, upping his record to 2-6. Zion Anthony got the loss. Portland is now 26-33.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Portland catcher Brett Heid, facing Zion Anthony, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Beavers the 2-1 win.
"Victor did what Victor does," said Portland manager GM bigbluex02.
